Principal's Message
Welcome to Hunt Club Elementary School!
Our school’s mission centers upon ensuring every student learns and achieves. Additionally, as a dual language school, we are home to students from a wide variety of backgrounds. Despite having what might feel like very separate dual language and English-speaking classrooms, it is important that we still feel like a cohesive unit. We are proud to house five different “casas” as part of a unique system within our school; this structure fosters connections between all students and staff who might otherwise feel separate.
I am fortunate to have been part of the Hunt Club family since 2016, where I began my time in the district as an assistant principal. Now, I am excited to be in my sixth year as the principal of Hunt Club. Previously, I served as an assistant principal in Ball-Chatham School District (Ball-Chatham CUSD #5) and 6-8th grade teacher at Mahomet-Seymour Junior High School.
At Hunt Club, all staff strive to always learn and grow. We learn from one another and work together to support each of our students. We also understand that we thrive when we are being challenged and choose to step outside of our comfort zones. We love to model perseverance and grit for our students to show that even teachers try new things! This approach allows students to have the support of all staff as we work together to live out the district’s mission, providing the unique educational journey each student deserves.
I hope all of our students know they are a unique piece of our community. We truly would not be the same without each student and what they bring to make Hunt Club special.
